| About Our Hospice
Hospice...
- is quality, compassionate care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury including but not limited to: a) heart, lung and neurological diseases; b) Alzheimer's, dementia, stroke or coma; c) liver or kidney failure; d) cancer; and e) other illness or injury.
- is a team-oriented approach to expert medical care, pain management, and emotional and spiritual support customized to each person and their family's needs and wishes.
- focuses on caring, not curing
- provides care and support for the person and their family.
- believes everyone has the right to die pain-free and with dignity, and that necessary support can be provided to loved ones, allowing them to understand the dying process.
- care is covered under Medicare, Medicaid, and most private insurance plans; however, care will not be refused based on inability to pay.
- provides care in the person's home or other place of residence such as a nursing facility or hospital.
- shall not deny services based on age, race, national origin, disease, handicap, religion, gender, color or sexual orientation.
- is on-call 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
